Episode 7
Recollection
- Maewnam's Mom shows up at Wan's store to pickup Maewnam for an ambush disguised as brunch
- Maewnam's Mom warns her that the Mouse Mart opening will cause relationship issues for the two and (basically) tells Maewnam she should either convince Wan to do something else or break it off before it hurts
- Tonnam and Chom are now staying with Chom's Mom and are conspiring to make Chom's Mom adore Tonnam before the truth comes out
- Tonnam and Chom finally meet Wan and embarass Maewnam over how much she fawns over Wan before saying the store sign was "unique" (ugly)
- Chom's Mom absolutely adores Tonnam
- Maewnam made an entire business survival analysis of Wan's store and designed the new branding
- Maewnam and Wan renovate and upgrade the grocery store!!! It looks so cozy and fun!!!
- The neighborhood council makes a stance to not support Mouse Mart over Wan's store...they all fall victim to the taste of Mouse Mart but still shop at Wan's
- Tonnam snaps at Chom's Mom after her Mom goes on and on about how no man would want someone like Chom, but Chom's not upset because Tonnam stood up for her
- Chom finally confesses to her mom that she and Tonnam are dating!!!
- Wan and Maewnam do various promotional activities to boost the stores popularity and fight back against the drop in sales post-Mouse Mart
- Ultimately, it's the cat that brings in the most customers (understandable)
It did not occur to me that we were over halfway into the story and Maewnam's friends still hadn't met Wan. Glad they got to tease her about it though! I'm also so glad that Chom finally had enough and is confronting her Mom about her and Tonnam being girlfriends!!! I am scared, but I think that her Mom had suspicions. Please, please, please don't let this be a big deal...and how dare the episode leave it on a cliffhanger!!!
As someone who loves presentations...I think Maewnam putting together an entire edited with graphics business revival pitch is one of the most romantic gestures ever. Oh my god. She did market research and analysis for her girlfriend, that's so AAAAAAHHHH!!! She even did branding and helped her pick out new equipment, come onnnnnnnn. I'm swooned. I'm terribly swooned.
I love the new store look!!! It's so colourful and bright!!! The balloons and the banners with the garland are so cuteee!!! I also love seeing the store when compared to the cuts of the very-obviously-flat-cardboard-walls that is the "Mouse Mart", hehe. It really edges in that whole "staple of the community" versus "heartless branch of a corporation" aspect of the story. I'm so relieved they are able to boost their sales and keep Wan's store going, but there's still 3 whole episodes left...so I'll save my celebrations for when I know they're truly in the clear.
To the ex...DUDE WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE???
