Episode 6

Recollection

First off, very good for Maewnam and Wan for being a healthy relationship. Maewnam originally said she wasn't going to spend the night and Wan accepted it and it wasn't a big deal or a betrayal. Low bar, but I just really appreciate when series show what having respect for the other person looks like, ya know?

The sleepover sequence was so dreammmyyy!!! It was the perfect balance of comfy clothes, fun games (though UNO brings out the demons in people), some trips down memory lane, and a good dash of feels. Then they kept flirting and being all girlfriend-y and just, agh, my heart!!! I love how Maewnam keeps decorating Wan in whales and now the store motif is whales and agh, my hearttt!!!

Regarding Maewnam's father...I'm not entirely sure I trust him. I appreciate his speech about "crown shyness" and that he listened to Maewnam's reasoning and agreed with it (even though it's too late to change directions). Yet, I can't say I'm fully swooned or believing of him to be ethical. If he's so concerned with things, shouldn't his team have already scoped out the area that Maewnam suggested? Wouldn't they already know about the local grocery store that the community uses already? I completely understand the logic behind franchise rights and onboarded workers entirely. It's not ethical to just boot people out because changed your might, but couldn't a transfer happen? "Hey, we scoped it out and actually, Area X has more potential to be profitable to your franchise." Granted, I'm most certainly not a business person, so there could be a plethora of things I'm ignorant of regarding that.

Tonnam, Chom, Chom's mom...you three give me such heartache every episode. I am incredibly privileged enough to not be in a circumstance where I have to be worried about my parent rejecting my choice in partner purely because of their sex. I'm thankful for that, truly. But, Chom, what are you so nervous of? What keeps holding you back? Your mother didn't have an adverse reaction to Wan and Maewnam getting together (I know that sometimes there's the issue of "for others, not for us" in families, I do), isn't that a good sign? Maybe she keeps hounding you about getting a boyfriend because you've never told her you like women? I just hope they can all clear the air and get it out soon because I'm right there with Tonnam in being fed up with the secrecy. Rip that bandaid, support each other in whatever happens, I believe in you two!!!

Ohhh, oh no. Tonnam is gonna pop her gasket next episode. Please, please, please let this just be a misunderstanding and Chom's mom is actually okay with it!!! Can't wait to see the renovations too~

Thanks for Reading!

I hope you've been able to watch and enjoy the story for yourself! If you haven't, that's okay too! My thoughts are here to keep you updated and entertained in the meantime.

This caps off this post, so off into the nighttime I go to publish the next one shortly!

May we meet again at Midnight!
