Hello, Internet, and good mornight to you all!

Episode 3

Recollection

Rose Petal Lady...I have no idea what you're saying because the subs didn't translate it and I don't speak backwards Japanese (at least I think it's backwards Japanese). However, you have my interest. Amidst all the oddly 2000s-punk looking monster people, you show up in a bright read feather boa and a black evening gown. You disappear into Rose Petals and leave them as calling cards. Quite frankly, you are a spitting image of "Femme Fatale", but I think you've got a bigger purpose than just that. I'm excited to see your villainy.

Speaking of the other monster people...are these seriously their outfits???. Now, I'm not besmirching them because they do look visually interesting. It's more-so just the whole...they're walking around like they just left the underground kink bar in broad daylight in 2000s Tokyo and nobody bats an eye. Hey, power to you though; I'm all for self-expression! Especially with some cool eyeliner and, uhh, "wristbands".

Thank you, Kamen Rider Kuuga, for randomly throwing in some massive creep slapping the feminine-person's thighs. You shouldn't have.

Regarding the police side of things, I understand that they don't know what we know. For all intents and purposes, living things do come in different colours while being separate beings. Living things are also capable of being dangerous even if they are safe towards others. Still, I really don't think shoot-on-sight is the call here. Especially when your normal guns didn't work and your only other option is, what, slightly more powerful guns???

The amount of guns they have pointed at the people-who-reflect-bullets scares me. While I think their actions are dumb, I certainly don't want anybody dying over it. I will say, ULF#8's suit looks the most polished and interesting so far! Granted, I'm not sure if that's just an advantage of the nighttime's darkness...

This caps off this week's gathering for Tokusatsu Thursday, so off into the nighttime we go in preparation for tomorrow! I hope you'll come back for the next Sunday Midnight Book Club! We'll be discussing chapters five and six of A Study in Scarlet.

May we meet again when the clock strikes 12:00!
