{Taffy Tuesday #3} Calendar Talk: September & The Midnight Series

Hello, Internet, and good mornight to you all!

My name is Taffryne, shoppekeeper of Midnight on Memory Lane, and it is my absolute delight to welcome you to this week's gathering for Taffy Tuesday

As the title of this post says, we're going to be having a good ol' fashioned Calendar Talk about what September looks like. I figured that these monthly check-ins would be a good way for us to stay on the same page.

T/N: Now...in the future I'd like to have a nice and pretty graphic schedule system alongside this. Unfortunately, we're text-based for now.

September's Calendar

T/N: Tokusatsu Thursday's format is changing, details to be announced later on...

As you can see, most of our current schedule isn't changing. I'm only one month into this and still very naive to the ways of the Bear Blog, so I want to keep things slower and really get our schedule and formatting down before we go hopping into different series. The good news is that come October, I'll have a nicely curated sPoOoOokY lineup for us to enjoy and celebrate the hallowed month together!

Alongside that, I'm going to try and get my posting time to be more consistent. For now, I'm going to declare that posts will go up either between 12:30 - 1:30 AM (00:30 - 1:30) EST or 10:30 - 11:59 PM (22:30 - 23:59) EST on their respective days. There might be some wobble, but I'm going to do my best to stabilize it!

Additionally, I'm making the executive decision to not combine multiple episodes into a single post anymore. The posts were just getting really long (boy, do I love a good ramble) and I don't want anyone to feel cumbersome or bogged down with all that scrolling. I think splitting them will also make it easier for anyone who hasn't watched the same episodes yet or needs a break. Therefore, from now on they'll all have separate posts that go up on the same day. Hopefully that makes it a bit less daunting for folks!

Finally, I am still working on the back-end of getting those communication networks up and running. "Within September" is my ideal goal, but I'll let you all know if they get pushed back. While it'd be great to get a few of them up at the same time, it might be better for me to piecemeal it one-by-one so I don't break something or end up with tangled wires.

The Midnight Series

Remember way back in my second ever blog post, I said that Taffy Tuesdays would be...

"my wildcard day where I could tell you more about myself, my shoppe, or perhaps I'll simply ramble about whatever's caught my attention!"

The Midnight Series is that fully coming to fruition come September 8th. In this blog series, I'll take you through the different rooms within my shoppe wherein I'll discuss something from that room's dedicated topic.

For example, I'll share movies in the Midnight Cinema (though sometimes it turns into the Midnight Projection Booth...). Discussing an album, however, will happen in the Midnight Concert Hall (not to be confused with the Midnight Opera House for, well, operas, or the Midnight Theatre for stage plays and musicals). For the personal lore, I'll even show you some of my own quarters and shelves within the shoppe! (once we're further acquainted, of course)

I don't want spoil all of the rooms just yet because their layout and alternate forms can get really confusing very quickly. Honestly, I'm not even sure how to explain the Midnight Garden "room" to you all yet. I'd also like to get a Bear Blog-compatible map of these made for you to better orientate yourself, but that's gonna take some time. I'm sorry to be so begging of your patience, but I hope the journey keeps you curious!

I truly do hope we'll keep meeting here in the mornight on this little slice of the internet. We're not even a full month into this, but I feel like I already have so many more hopes and goals for this blog (and even beyond the blog). We officially crossed 100 unique readers shortly after my last "Thank you, Internet" post and it still feels absurd (in a really, really good way).
