Hey, Internet...I'm Back, Sorry {Taffy Tuesday #10}
Hello, Internet, and good mornight to you all.
My name is Taffryne, shoppekeeper of Midnight on Memory Lane, and I am so sorry I went completely radio silent this past week.
'Twas not a pleasure, 'twas honestly quite awful indeed.
To spare oversharing a painful memory's details, I unexpectedly had a really heartbreaking life event happen outside the shop's pocket dimension last Tuesday morning. Everything is "fine" and nobody died, thankfully. Unfortunately, it was still rough, damaged my sleep schedule, and costed a lot of my emotional allowance.
Subsequently, my ability to run the blog was compromised and I have fallen dreadfully behind schedule. Again, I am so sorry.
However, after taking the weekend to process through the bulk of things, I've put my self-care back on the priority list. As my passion project, that means I am also tossing myself back into the blogspace!
This game of catch-up is going to take some more time (sorry, again x2), but if all goes well, then everything will be fixed come Sunday night. In an ideal sense, I would have loved to simply pop everything up as double-features...but in the realistic sense, it's probably all going to publish together in one big ol' update.
Please accept our sincerest apologies for the incoming slap of two weeks worth of posts in a single day ~ Taffryne from the Office of Delays and Double-Features
If anyone else is going through a hard time right now, be it heartbreak, grief, financial anxiety, gestures vaguely...then, I'm sorry. It sucks. I would magic it all away if I could. Alas, we are in the reality where only time and space can change things like that (and they can't even change all of it).
As a sentimental, I'm afraid I can only offer you my shoulder to cry on and my hand to hold as we live these moments; but, I want you to know that they're there.
Feel everything you feel. Get every last emotion out of your heart and thought out of your head. Let yourself be not-okay. The only way you can move on is to let yourself leave where you are, but you can't leave with all that suppressed baggage weighing you down. It won't be simple. It won't be easy. It definitely won't be glamorous. But, at some point after you've gone far enough, it'll be okay. Just, please, keep waking up each day and keep taking even a third of a step forward.
There will always be a path for healing on Memory Lane.
Thank You for Reading.
That will be the end of this reconnect for us on Taffy Tuesday, so off into the comforting nighttime we go.
I hope you'll come back for when everything gets retconned and patched back onto schedule. Remember to take care of yourselves, Dear Readers of the Internet.
May we always meet at midnight.
